About Stephen
I’m a medical student with a strong passion for science and education. I achieved an A in A-Level Chemistry, and my medical studies have allowed me to continue developing and applying my scientific knowledge at university level.
I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I understand that Chemistry can sometimes feel overwhelming when concepts aren’t explained in a way that makes sense. Having recently been through GCSEs and A-Levels myself, I understand the pressures students face and what it takes to prepare effectively for exams.
I want my students to see that Chemistry can actually be fun and, with the right approach, it’s a subject they can do really well in. My goal is to help students improve their grades while building genuine confidence in their own ability.

I tailor my lessons to each student, focusing on areas they find most difficult and breaking complex Chemistry concepts down into simple, manageable steps. I use worked examples, exam-style questions and active recall to make sure students understand the content and can apply it confidently in exams.
Lessons are typically 1-2 hours, combining teaching, guided practice and exam questions.
I achieved an A in A-Level Chemistry and am currently a medical student, giving me a strong scientific background and a good understanding of effective study and revision techniques. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through mistakes.
My lessons are aimed at GCSE Chemistry students of all abilities, whether they want to catch up, build confidence or work towards the highest grades.
