About Eva
I am a native Mandarin speaker with a media background and experience working in Chinese media in both China and Australia, including People’s Daily Online Australia and New Zealand. My media training has helped me develop clear communication skills, strong language awareness, and a good understanding of Chinese expression in real-life contexts.
I have also traveled to different countries and enjoy learning about different cultures, people, and ways of communication. These experiences make me more open-minded, patient, and understanding when teaching students from different backgrounds.
I am friendly, encouraging, and easy to talk to. I like bringing real-life stories, cultural examples, and everyday topics into my lessons, so learning Mandarin feels practical, relaxed, and interesting. My goal is to help students build confidence, understand Chinese culture, and enjoy the process of learning the language.

My Mandarin lessons are designed to help students speak Chinese clearly, naturally and confidently. I am a native Mandarin speaker with a media background and experience working with People’s Daily Online Australia and New Zealand, where I developed strong skills in Chinese communication, storytelling and cross-cultural expression.
In my lessons, I focus on pronunciation, tones, everyday conversation, useful vocabulary and clear sentence structure. I like to use real-life situations, simple role plays and practical examples, so students can understand not only the meaning of Chinese words, but also how to use them naturally.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes and are suitable for beginners, school students and learners who want to improve practical Mandarin for daily life, study or travel. I can teach in both English and Mandarin, which makes the learning process easier and more comfortable for beginner students.
