About Pavel

Hi, I’m Pavel, a third-year medical student in pediatrics at Ogarev Mordovia State University in Russia. Biology is not just a school subject for me: I study it every day, from cells and genetics to human physiology, and I love showing students how it all fits together.

I earned top marks in biology on both of Russia’s national school exams, including 93 out of 100 on the final one. Before tutoring independently, I taught at online schools. Today I work with students in Russia and the UK, including a student following the British GCSE curriculum, so I’m used to adapting to different school systems and textbooks.

Families who have worked with me rate my lessons 5 out of 5. I’m patient, well organized and always well prepared, and I treat every student’s goals seriously, whether that’s passing a test or getting ready for a future in medicine.

My lessons are built on understanding, not memorizing. I explain each topic step by step with diagrams and real-life examples, then we move straight to practice questions until the topic really clicks.

A typical 60-minute lesson: a quick review of the previous topic and homework (10 min), new material on an interactive whiteboard (25 min), practice questions (20 min), and a short recap with homework (5 min). After every lesson the student gets notes and slides to review at home.

The first 30-minute lesson is free. I check what the student already knows and send a short written summary: strong topics, weak spots and a study plan.

What sets me apart: I’m a medical student, so biology is part of my everyday studies, and I can show how school topics connect to the human body and medicine. I’ve taught at online schools, and I prepare my own notes and slides for every lesson.

My lessons are for middle and high school students (grades 6–12), including Honors and AP Biology, whether the goal is better grades, test prep or catching up on missed topics.
