About Petré
I am a practicing Mechatronic Engineer working in the field of autonomous vehicles and control systems. I've completed my studies up to postgraduate level and know just how tough it can be!
I have several years of practical experience and can give valuable guidance for any future engineer. I've attained numerous distinctions during my degrees and have served as lecturer's assistant in many subjects, including teaching advanced engineering modules to new students.
In school, I attained a 92% average with distinctions in all 8 my subjects. These subjects were Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics, Afrikaans Home Language, English Home Language, Physical Science, Information Technology, Engineering Graphic Design and Life Orientation.
Laying a good foundation academically is one of the things that unlocks a young person's future. I know just how crucial that is, and I have the deep belief that everyone can make it. They just need to want to - and be taught how to.

I offer tutoring in the fields listed for grade 8 learners all the way to second-year university students. I have an individualistic approach to teaching. Each mind is unique, and so I try to find ways to accommodate the specific learner.
My lessons have a three-point structure. Firstly, I handle requests from the student. These are presented in advance, preferably, so that I can explain the work well. Secondly, we go through the work currently being done in class. This is to ensure that the learner isn't skipping any of their work. Thirdly, I present the learner with some extra learning material, based on the first two points. Though this does not happen every lesson, this certainly gives the best results.
I am known for my patience and empathy, but also for being focused and goal-driven. My accomplishments taught me what it takes to achieve professional success, even in the face of various difficulties.
