About Beth
I am a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Southampton in my third year of a four year degree. I am specialising in Mechatronics and will be graduating with a Master's degree. I have little formal experience in tutoring however have helped friends in their studies and was in a programme teaching teenagers with literacy difficulties to read and another in secondary school where I with other older students tutored younger years 'gifted and talented' students. I also previously worked as a presenter at a science museum where I gained experience explaining scientific topics to people of different educational backgrounds

I believe in STEM subjects, completing problems is the best way to commit methods to memory. As such, lessons will generally follow a format of teaching or revision of a method at the beginning followed by practice problems and feedback at the end of the session. This can be adapted to students if found that other methods would be better suited but in general I have found this to be the best method in most cases
