About Jane
I am currently working as an Engineer in the Energy Industry, graduated with an MEng in Mechanical Engineering and Business Management at University of Warwick. I am trilingual, fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Whilst studying at uni, i volunteered as a student ambassador to teach STEM subjects at local schools. I’ve also taught groups of primary-school children English lessons during summer holidays. Apart from tutoring academic subjects, I also have a passion for music and arts. With a distinction in my Piano Diploma and AS Music, I have experience giving piano lessons as well as music theory lessons. Sketching and painting have also been two of my favourite hobbies since I was a child. My favourite media are watercolour, pencils and oil paint.

Having had numerous experiences working with children of young age mostly and an interest in psychology, my teaching method is fairly individualised. I like to learn more about the students individually before establishing a teaching method that i consider to be most effective, usually interactive and learner-centred teaching methods from my experience. I like to engage the students intellectually as much as possible and to cultivate their desire to learn more and strive for excellence as I, myself, is a growth-seeker, continuously pushing myself in all aspects of life.
