About João
Having been a Business Consultant and Mechanical Engineer for over 10 years, certified in Pedagogical Skills, I am used and qualified to teach how to use various computer tools, which accompany me on a daily basis, and useful tips, which I have been learning over time . I intend to pass on this knowledge in an active and demonstrative way, promoting a progressive education, adjusted to the specific needs of each student.

I come from a family of teachers and I started to take an interest in different areas of knowledge early on, namely science, the arts and the way technologies facilitate everyday life, communication and global challenges. I have a MSc's in Mechanical Engineering and a MSc's in Editorial Studies, which led me to have advanced knowledge in digital tools used in academic and professional context (MS Powerpoint, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.). I am certified in Pedagogical Skills and English (advanced level), so I am willing and able to train students of different ages in these tools, both in Portuguese and in English. I usually follow a modular demonstrative teaching methodology, with the support of slides and analysis of case studies. Depending on the classes or the student, I think it is necessary to carry out small assessments of knowledge, as the training progresses from the most general concepts to the most practical results of each discipline.
