About Emil
I am a second-year Mathematics student at the University of Bath, where I achieved a First in my first-year examinations. I achieved an A* in Additional Mathematics IGCSE and an A* in A-Level Further Mathematics.
I specialise in helping students develop a genuine understanding of mathematics, breaking down difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps. Many students struggle because of small gaps in their understanding that accumulate over time; my lessons focus on identifying and addressing these gaps so that students can approach problems with confidence. I provide patient, personalised support while keeping the dates of exams in mind in order to cover everything that could come up in good time.

I use personalised OneNote notebooks to organise lesson notes, worked examples, and practice questions by topic, giving students a clear record of their progress.
Lessons typically focus on a combination of concept explanation, guided practice, and exam-style questions. As exams approach, we place greater emphasis on past papers and exam technique. We carefully review completed papers to identify weaker areas, before targeting those topics with focused practice and detailed explanations.
My aim is to develop the confidence and understanding needed to tackle unfamiliar problems independently. Sessions are typically one hour in length.
