About Fred
I am a motivated and enthusiastic math student with a strong interest in problem solving and logical thinking. I have consistently performed at a high level in mathematics, including achieving a top 10% result in the AMC 8, which has helped me develop clear and effective strategies for tackling challenging questions.
I enjoy helping others understand math in a way that feels approachable and confidence-building rather than intimidating. Having recently gone through the same learning stages as many students, I can explain concepts in a relatable and supportive way. My lessons are designed to help primary and junior high school students build confidence in mathematics. I focus on explaining concepts in a simple and easy-to-understand way, helping students with topics such as arithmetic, fractions, percentages, algebra, geometry, and homework support.
Lessons are tailored to each student's needs and learning pace. We will work through examples together, practice problem-solving techniques, and review any schoolwork that students find challenging. My goal is to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their mathematical skills.
A typical lesson may include:

Before lessons begin, I encourage parents to provide information about their child's current year level, the topics they are learning at school, and any areas they find challenging. This allows me to tailor lessons to their specific needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
Whether a student needs help with fractions, decimals, algebra, geometry, exam preparation, or general homework support, lessons will be adjusted to match their current learning stage. My goal is to identify strengths, address gaps in understanding, and help students build confidence while keeping pace with their school curriculum.
