About Tessa
I am a passionate Maths tutor with over 5 years of experience and a Master’s in Mathematics. I love exploring not just equations and formulae, but the fascinating history behind them. From ancient civilisations to modern breakthroughs, I uncover how mathematical thought has evolved over time. I enjoy sharing stories of famous theorems and the brilliant minds who discovered them.
My lessons connect concepts to their historical and cultural roots, helping students see Maths as more than just numbers. We explore how ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Indians, and Arabs contributed to the knowledge we use today. I highlight the origins of key ideas and the journeys of discovery that shaped our understanding.
I guide students to appreciate both the logic and the beauty of mathematics. Lessons are interactive, combining problem-solving with storytelling.
