About Lucy
I am an experienced tutor, who is passionate about making maths approachable and understandable. It is such an incredible topic and so vital for a variety of careers, so inspiring people to feel capable and confident in the topic is vital to me.
I have been a tutor for three years, teaching a variety of ages and abilities, all through online learning. With a mix of homework help, past paper practice, exam revision and topic specific lessons my students have been able to understand the subject, improve their ability and increase their confidence.
I really believe in student led tutoring - whilst we will always cover the course curriculum, the lessons are largely led by what the student needs most.

My lesson plans are varied depending on the students need and what level they are at with their studies; whether it is helping with their homework or going over topics studied in class at a slower personalised rate.
The main problem for so many maths students is lacking confidence. My aim is to support them and build their confidence so when it comes to exam time they feel capable and sure of their abilities.
I have been tutoring for 3 years and have developed a good rapport with all my students, even through online learning.
My lessons are for any school student up to the age of 16 (GCSEs) of any ability. I have experience tutoring higher and foundation papers at GCSE level.
