About Rose
I’m a student at The University of Glasgow currently studying Civil Engineering in my 3rd year. I have experience with tutoring my peers and younger pupils at GCSE/National 5s and below, ages 10-16. I have extensive knowledge and understanding of Mathematics through to undergraduate level. I achieved A’s in A Levels maths and AS Further Mathematics. I’m proficient with topics but not limited to Calculus, Algebra, Mechanics, and Trigonometry.
As a tutor I am focused on striving that in the sessions for the students to work over their struggles in class at their own pace and to create a space where they feel able to ask questions. From experience classrooms and online platforms can be intimidating environments for students to actively participate in so therefore leaving behind students. I want to make the pupils comfortable to have the confidence to ask any questions because understanding what you don’t know is the first step of the learning process.

This tutoring for you will go entirely at your pace and what you need. We will sit down and find methods which work for you and help you not only answer the questions in class but understand also and have fun whilst we are doing it. There isn’t just one method to learning. Sometimes just properly understanding the questions and knowing what is being asked of you in class helps. We’ll go over questions by breaking down the problem into logical steps we can follow. I hope to be someone who can help you that extra bit and make maths a subject that you don’t dread.
