About Freddie
Hi, I’m Freddie, an Economics student at the University of Southampton with a strong passion for mathematics. Maths has always been one of my favourite subjects, and I enjoy the challenge of solving problems and finding different ways to approach them.
I decided to become a tutor because I know that maths can sometimes feel overwhelming or frustrating when a topic doesn’t immediately click. I’ve seen how much of a difference patient explanation and individual support can make, and I find it rewarding to help students gain confidence and achieve things they didn’t think they could.
Having previously tutored students in a school setting, I’ve developed an understanding of how different people learn. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that’s often where the best learning happens.
Whether you’re aiming to improve your grades, prepare for exams, or simply become more confident with maths, I’d love to help you reach your goals.

I am a patient and supportive maths tutor currently studying Economics at the University of Southampton, where I achieved a First-Class grade in my first year. Mathematics has always been one of my strongest subjects, and I enjoy helping students build both their understanding and confidence.
My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. Whether you are struggling with a particular topic, preparing for exams, or aiming for top grades, I will work at a pace that suits you and ensure concepts are fully understood before moving on.
I believe that every student can improve in maths with the right guidance and approach. My teaching focuses on breaking down difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps and creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions.
I have previous experience providing maths tutoring in a school setting and understand the importance of patience, encouragement, and clear explanations. My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades but also to develop their confidence and problem-solving skills for the future.
