About Riccardo
Whether you are a parent looking for a tutor to help your children excel in maths/physics or a student struggling with equations or physics laws, please look no further. You can now learn from a scientist who has made his mark on diverse branches of physics and inspired a large number of students.
I have worked as a scientist for well over a decade, collaborating on world-renowned projects in very distinguished research centres, such as CERN (Switzerland), DESY (Germany) and other prestigious Universities across Europe. In 2000, my love for science led me to begin helping students who had trouble understanding scientific subjects. In over 15 years of tutoring, I have developed a long record of success stories that have made me proud and encouraged me to continue educating students.
I see tutoring as an activity that is far more elaborate than just teaching a set of rules to a student; tutoring is about shaping people’s mind to succeed and provide them with the right confidence to excel in all walks of life, not just academically.
My background:
Ph.D. in Physics, on the characterisation of the Nobel prize-winning material graphene for industrial applications
MSc in Microelectronic design for physics experiments
MSc in Electrical Engineering
Multiple prizes and scholarships awarded over my whole career
STEM ambassador for 4 years to promote public awareness of Nanoscience in high schools, exhibitions, museums and science fairs
4 years of experience as a physics lab demonstrator at Lancaster University
Regular tutoring of elementary school students to University students in science subjects across various European countries for over 15 years
I provide one-to-one tuition and also give lessons in small groups where students receive an exceptional level of tuition.
I adapt my teaching style towards the needs, personality and level of education of my students, so that I can make the most out of the given time frame for tuition. By doing so, I help them to achieve their goals in the fastest way possible.
