About Thomas
My name's Tom, nice to meet you!
I'm in my final year of uni in Edinburgh at the moment and have studied 4 years of Maths with Finance on a First Class average so far. I also have internship experience in Financial Services.
As a result, this means I can add a new perspectives on any areas you might find challenging and help you in understand those tricky topics!
I have previously achieved A* in GCSE Maths (equivalent to A in National 5/Higher), and an A in A-Level Maths (equivalent to A in Advanced Higher) so I understand problems which can arise in these subjects.
A little about me:
During my free time, I like to play video games as well as guitar! In terms of myself, people know me to be diligent, friendly and patient.
Recently, I have helped a mature student with studying for Nat5 exams in order to get onto a teaching course at university, and I have helped another student with a university maths summer school entrance exam.

In preparing for lessons, I like to ask students which areas they are finding difficult, so I can prepare a wide range of questions which will show them such concepts more clearly. I usually introduce basics of concepts first so students can get familiar how to start and then we work through problems together in a very relaxed conversational way!
