About Nashia
I am a qualified secondary mathematics teacher with over seven years of experience teaching across KS3, KS4, and KS5. I specialise in A Level Mathematics, particularly applied content, and teach the Edexcel exam board at both GCSE and A Level. I have a strong academic background with a degree in Mathematics.
I have a genuine passion for mathematics and have always enjoyed helping others by simplifying concepts and making maths accessible to all learners. I enjoy tutoring as it allows me to see rapid and significant progress in students, and I particularly value working one-to-one, as this is one of the most effective ways to build confidence and improve understanding.
I have experience teaching the highest attaining Year 11 groups as well as groups who require the most support, which has given me a strong understanding of how to challenge high-achieving students while also carefully scaffolding learning for those who need more guidance. I also have experience working with SEN students and adapt my approach accordingly to support a wide range of learning needs.
