About Viya
I earned a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, equipping me with both theoretical depth and practical problem-solving expertise. Over 11 years of teaching, I have guided learners across various skill levels, helping them build confidence, analytical reasoning, and independent problem-solving habits. I believe that conceptual clarity and progressive guidance are key to achieving lasting understanding and intellectual growth.
My teaching approach focuses on adaptability, engagement, and structured explanation. I personalize lessons using visual aids, examples, and interactive exercises to accommodate each student’s learning style. I encourage learners to reflect on their reasoning, explore multiple solution strategies, and develop the confidence to tackle challenges independently, fostering both competence and resilience.
Outside the classroom, I stay active in mathematical research, applied modeling, and interdisciplinary problem-solving. These experiences enrich my teaching and provide practical insights for learners. Mathematics is most meaningful when learners grasp the reasoning behind each concept and see its application in solving real-world problems. I encourage students to explore patterns, visualize abstract ideas, and develop stepwise reasoning that builds confidence and fluency.
