About Beatrice
I am a 27 year old Research Assistant currently working at Imperial College London in heart disease research. I have always been passionate about lab work, and have previously worked at the UK Dementia Research Institute, Illumina (industry, in Research and Development) and the Francis Crick Institute.
I achieved A*AA at A-level in Biology, Chemistry and Maths respectively. I have a Masters in Biochemistry (First Class Honours) from UCL. My masters thesis was in computational modelling of protein interactions within a membrane. I have been tutoring since 2018 (I have had this passion since studying my undergraduate degree).
I have taught children from 5 years old up until 18 years old. I can teach 13+, entrance exams, KS3, GCSE and A-levels. I have spent a summer as a teaching assistant in my old school, where I learnt teaching methodologies, lesson planning, and delivered lessons to a classroom. I believe I have a good insight into the current GCSE and A-level syllabus and exam structure, and can pass on great exam techniques and memory recall, that will hopefully be with the students for life, to achieve their goals beyond school days.

For the first lesson, I would gauge where the student is at by asking questions and helping explain things they might not understand - my aim is to always leave the student with a sense of accomplishment.
Lessons would be 1-2 hours per week, and would involve going through the syllabus, ensuring the student understands concepts. Also doing exam questions specific to the topic to ensure students know how to answer the questions to get the total marks available.

Beatrice is a very intelligent person, with loads of knowledge and can explain topics extremely well to every level of studies. She plans ahead of every lesson and tailors contents to the specified requirements of each student.
