About Elizabeth
I graduated July 2022 with a degree in maths and physics from University of Warwick. I now work as a trainee clinical scientist in the NHS in nuclear medicine. I have tutored maths to students aged 8-28 for 6 years, seeing students through their GCSE exams successfully, with improved grades and confidence. I currently tutor online and will be available for in-person tuition from January 2023.

My teaching method is ensuring that the knowledge of fundamental maths and physics exists first, before building upon that knowledge and practising until the students are confident. I can approach teaching in many different ways depending on how the student best learns and will adapt my explanations of topics and theories until students are happy with the method of approaching and answering the question they are confronted with

During the two years that I was tutored maths by Lizzie, I grew from struggling and being in one of the bottom sets to achieving a grade 9 at GCSE. This remarkable transformation was made possible due to Lizzie’s patience and encouragement as well as her vast knowledge and ability to explain in a way that is easy to understand. My weekly lessons were enjoyable just as much as they were helpful and I would wholly recommend her as a tutor.
Lizzie helped me through my maths GCSE. I found maths so difficult and I thought I’d never understand it. When I started maths lessons with Lizzie I really started to understand the things I found difficult and I made significant progress in my school work. Without Lizzie I doubt I would of passed maths GCSE so I would 10/10 recommend ️️
