About Amelia
My journey into mathematics began with curiosity about patterns and logical structures. I earned an M.Sc in Mathematics Education, where I developed advanced understanding of mathematical theory and effective instructional strategies. Over the past 13 years, I have worked with students across elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, and SAT math, helping them overcome anxiety and build confidence. I teach with patience, empathy, and adaptability, using visual aids, structured explanations, and real-life applications. Many learners who initially struggle gradually gain independence as they understand mathematical reasoning more deeply. Outside teaching, I continue refining teaching methods and developing learning resources. Teaching mathematics is deeply rewarding because it empowers learners with analytical skills, confidence, and lifelong problem-solving abilities.

Mathematics becomes far more approachable when students understand the reasoning behind each method rather than relying on memorization. In my lessons, I guide learners through elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, and SAT math using structured explanations that emphasize patterns, logic, and step-by-step problem-solving. This approach helps learners build confidence and clarity.
Lessons are carefully tailored to individual needs. Beginners focus on number sense, arithmetic fluency, and confidence-building exercises. Intermediate learners strengthen algebraic reasoning, geometry concepts, and multi-step problem-solving. Advanced learners focus on SAT math strategies, efficiency, and flexible reasoning. Guided practice, discussion, and feedback are integral parts of every lesson.
Math lessons also develop critical thinking, perseverance, and structured reasoning. As learners progress, they approach challenges with calm confidence and analytical precision. My goal is to help students develop strong mathematical foundations that support long-term academic success.
