About Maeve
I have loved mathematics since childhood, which led me to pursue a B.Sc in Mathematics Education and dedicate eight years to teaching students of all levels. My teaching focuses on fostering understanding, confidence, and a lasting appreciation for mathematics. I enjoy helping learners develop logical thinking and problem-solving abilities in a supportive, engaging environment. Throughout my career, I have guided students in elementary school math, middle school math, algebra, geometry, and SAT math preparation. I adapt lessons to individual learning styles, incorporating visual aids, interactive exercises, and real-world examples. Many students start with uncertainty, and I help them develop mastery, confidence, and enthusiasm for mathematics. Outside teaching, I explore creative exercises, real-world applications, and problem-solving strategies to enhance lessons. I integrate these experiences to make learning engaging, meaningful, and practical. Each session is approached with patience, encouragement, and professionalism, helping learners grow academically and personally while fostering a lasting appreciation for mathematics.

My Math lessons begin with elementary school math, including number operations, fractions, decimals, and basic problem-solving strategies. I focus on building understanding and confidence using interactive exercises, visual aids, and step-by-step guidance. Early practice encourages curiosity and logical thinking in a structured, supportive environment. As learners progress into middle school math, we explore expressions, equations, ratios, coordinate grids, and geometry. Structured exercises and guided practice strengthen analytical and problem-solving skills. I emphasize deep understanding of principles rather than memorization, preparing students for advanced algebra, complex geometry challenges, and standardized tests like SAT math. For advanced learners or exam preparation, lessons cover algebra, advanced geometry, word problems, and SAT math strategies. Students practice multi-step problems, develop reasoning skills, and learn to apply formulas efficiently. Timed exercises and problem-solving tasks build mastery, competence, and confidence. My goal is to ensure students excel academically while acquiring practical problem-solving skills applicable in real-world scenarios.
