About Eli
My fascination with mathematics grew from curiosity about patterns, problem-solving, and logical structures in nature and technology. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Computational Mathematics, combining theoretical depth with applied problem-solving skills. Over 9 years of teaching, I have guided students of all levels—from beginners developing foundational skills to advanced learners preparing for competitions, exams, or research. My philosophy focuses on helping learners develop conceptual understanding, analytical reasoning, and confidence while enjoying the learning process.
I teach with clarity, patience, and adaptability, using step-by-step explanations, visualisations, and applied exercises to make concepts tangible and memorable. I encourage questions, exploration, and independent thinking, fostering analytical reasoning alongside technical skill. Lessons emphasise understanding why mathematical principles work, cultivating long-term comprehension and problem-solving confidence.
Outside the classroom, I engage with applied mathematics, computational modelling, and problem-solving projects. By integrating contemporary examples and real-world applications into lessons, students can see mathematics in action. Witnessing learners grow from uncertainty to mastery, gaining confidence, curiosity, and analytical ability, is deeply fulfilling. My mission is to guide students towards academic excellence while nurturing a lifelong appreciation for mathematics as both a practical and intellectually enriching discipline.
