My goal in teaching math to high school students was to enable them to be independent learners, not only to learn the material but to discover how they can learn on their own. I considered myself as much a facilitator as a teacher, helping them uncover strengths and use them to succeed.
I have mainly tutored basic math, Algebra, and Geometry. Algebra is my favorite subject personally, and my favorite to tutor. I really enjoy helping students make connections and learn techniques to help them learn in the future. This has always been my teaching philosophy. My tutoring style is to help students discover their learning style to help them make sense of not only the subject I’m tutoring, but other subjects as well.
