About Sam
I am a college student looking to transfer in the Fall of 2022 as a math major. I started tutoring my peers as a freshman in high school( which I have continued into college) , and for the last two years I have been working as one of the only college tutors for the organization "Homeschool Coaches".
I tutor math because I genuinely love the subject and want more students to be able to appreciate it in a way which their classrooms did not allow them to.

I've been tutoring math since my freshman year in high school and I've had students ranging from 4th grade to their mid-twenties. Generally in my tutoring I am working as a supplement to the student, meaning that they learn the content elsewhere in their class and come to me with any questions or concepts they don't understand.
My philosophy as a tutor is that it is as important for the student to know the why, as it is for them to know the how. When they grasp the concepts behind the methods math becomes an exercise in curiosity instead of tedium.
I have worked the most with high school students, but I offer lessons to any math class before multivariable calculus, and any physics class in high school.
