About Gianna
Hi! My name is Gianna, and I’m a high school junior with a 4.2 overall GPA and a strong passion for math and teaching. I’m a proud member of the Mathematical Honor Society and have experience tutoring middle school students in a variety of math topics. My ultimate goal is to become a math teacher, and tutoring is an exciting step toward that dream. As a tutor, I focus on building understanding and confidence. I take a patient, interactive approach, making sure each session is tailored to how you learn best. Whether you need help with homework, test prep, or just want to strengthen your math skills, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Hi, I’m a high school junior who loves math and helping others feel confident in it too! I offer tutoring for middle school and high school students who need support with math concepts, homework, or test prep.
My approach as a tutor is interactive, friendly, and focused on making math feel less intimidating. Since I'm a student myself, I understand how frustrating it can be when something doesn’t click — so I explain things in ways that make sense, using real-life examples, visuals, and questions that keep you thinking. I believe learning should be a two-way conversation, not a lecture.
A typical session starts with checking in on what you’re currently learning, then identifying where you feel stuck or unsure. From there, we break it down step-by-step together. I always make sure you get to try problems on your own (with help if needed) so you feel ready to do it without me. I also like using online tools like whiteboards or graphing calculators to keep things hands-on and clear.
What sets me apart is that I’m someone students can relate to. I’m not just teaching at you — I’m working with you. I’ve helped friends and classmates improve their understanding and grades just by being patient and explaining things in a way that clicks.
Whether you're struggling with algebra, geometry, or just want someone to study with and ask questions, I’m here to help. I’m especially great at connecting with other students because I know what it’s like to be in your shoes — and I hope to become a math teacher one day!
