About Shayaan
Hi, I’m Shayaan, a Mathematics with Economics student at Loughborough University. I’ve always enjoyed Maths because of the problem-solving side of it, and I like helping students see that most topics become much clearer once they are broken down properly.
I achieved an A in A Level Maths and have experience tutoring through Kumon, where I worked with students of different ages and abilities. This helped me learn how to explain things in different ways depending on the student, and how important patience is when something doesn’t click straight away.
I aim to make lessons relaxed and supportive so students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My focus is on building real understanding and confidence, whether that’s for GCSE, A Level, 11+ or 13+ Maths.

My approach to tutoring focuses on building a strong understanding of core concepts before moving onto exam-style questions. In Maths, I like to break topics down step by step and make sure students are confident with the basics first, rather than rushing through methods.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and are adapted depending on the student’s needs, whether that’s catching up on school content, preparing for exams, or working towards higher grades. I teach GCSE, A Level, 11+ and 13+ Maths.
I am currently studying Mathematics with Economics at Loughborough University and achieved an A in A Level Maths. I also have previous tutoring experience at Kumon, where I worked with students of different ages and abilities, helping them improve both accuracy and confidence.
My lessons are suitable for students who want to improve their understanding, build confidence, and perform better in exams. I aim to keep sessions calm and supportive so students feel comfortable asking questions.
