About Aly
I am currently a second-year PhD student at the Universitat de Barcelona, in environmental and health economics. I studied both my undergraduate and MSc in Economics in Ireland, at University College Dublin. I have extensive teaching experience for the last 6 years as I was a TA (teaching assistant) in Principles of Macro and Microeconomics to undergraduate students where I led seminars during my MSc, and I loved the experience of teaching a class of students. I am passionate about Spanish and public policy, for this reason, I am pursuing a research career and living in Barcelona! As passion is needed to pursue the ups and downs of the academic/research world, I love math and economics, so I am happy to share my knowledge and help in any way I can to students who need it. Unfortunately as I live in Barcelona, all my classes will be offered online but this does not mean it will be of a lower quality! :)

I have experience tutoring students in Mathematics and Economics from ages 13 up to university level. I like to base my classes on the individual needs of each student :) After a first introductory class explaining the objectives the student has for our lessons, I will tailor the classes accordingly! I am super flexible and want to make sure the students are content with what they are learning and feel they are making progress as each class goes on. As a PhD student in Economics I have a solid and extensive base of mathematics, including statistics, calculus, and econometrics. I love numbers and am happy to help students advance in any way I can! I also am able to help with Stata programming, as it is the main program I use for coding.
