About Tanya
I completed a B.Sc in Mathematics followed by an M.Sc in Pure Mathematics, which strengthened my appreciation for abstract reasoning and logical precision. Over 12 years of teaching, I have supported students from varied academic backgrounds in building confidence and clarity through structured guidance. My teaching philosophy centers on patience and adaptability. I take time to understand how each student thinks and adjust explanations to suit their learning style. I believe that confidence grows when learners feel supported and are encouraged to explore ideas without fear of mistakes. Outside the classroom, I stay engaged with mathematics through continuous problem-solving, academic reading, and personal study. Teaching mathematics is deeply meaningful to me because I witness learners develop strong reasoning skills that support success across academics and everyday life.

Mathematics becomes far more approachable when learners understand how ideas connect and build upon one another. My lessons focus on developing strong conceptual clarity across arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, probability, and introductory calculus. I guide students to see mathematics as a logical language rather than a collection of isolated formulas. By emphasizing reasoning and structure, students learn how to approach problems calmly and confidently.
For beginners, lessons focus on number sense, basic operations, and foundational reasoning using clear explanations and guided practice. Intermediate learners work on algebraic manipulation, geometric thinking, and applied word problems with increasing independence. Advanced learners explore calculus concepts, multi-step analytical problems, exam preparation, and proof-based reasoning. Each lesson is paced carefully to allow time for understanding, questioning, and reflection.
Studying mathematics builds discipline, patience, and analytical strength. As learners progress, they gain confidence in tackling unfamiliar problems and organizing their thinking clearly. My goal is to help students trust their reasoning abilities and develop a lasting, positive relationship with mathematics.
