About Joshua
I have recently finished an integrated masters degree (MMath(Hons) Mathematics) at the University of Bath. I am expected to graduate with a high 2:1 or first class honours in July. I managed to achieve 10 A* grades at GCSE, including maths, and 1 AS-Level in Chemistry, and 3 A-Levels at A*AA in maths, further maths and physics respectively.
I have had experience tutoring year 11 students for a year when I was in sixth form, and I have also tutored at degree level to first year students at university when in my third year. During this time I achieved 100% positive feedback from students and the lecturer assessing my teaching.

My teaching methodology is centred around making my students feel comfortable in the classroom and hence willing to contribute/ask questions. I try to emphasise my explanations through many examples and visual aids, as this is how my brain works. I also feel that this is an effective way for students to pick up new concepts.

Joshua and I tutored a group of year 11's when we were in Sixth Form together. These students were all striving to reach the highest grades and needed our help to push them along with their revision by reinforcing their learning and recapping tricky areas of the syllabus.
Joshua is able to adapt to the pupil's needs to help them excel in Maths. His understanding of the subject is unquestionable and he has a personable touch that helps to engage the pupil.
Joshua takes pride in what he does so his prep work and planning for each lesson will mean that the pupil gets the most out of it.
