About Ivan
I am pursuing a Masters in Mathematics at Simon Fraser University (SFU). My current research focuses on the mathematical theory underlying Compressed Sensing. I have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh. During my undergraduate, I did research in algebraic graph theory and algebraic structures associated with the Yang-Baxter equation.
I am currently a tutor at SFU for their algebra workshop. This covers precalculus, linear algebra, applied linear algebra and discrete mathematics. At the University of Edinburgh, I tutored algorithms, discrete mathematics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and python. I also had experience tutoring primary school and secondary school students.

I customize the tutorial session based on the suitability of each student. The first few lessons will be slower in the delivery of technical content so that I can understand the needs and style of the student. This works extremely well if the student is someone who does not hesitate to provide feedback.
