About Freddy
I love Maths and I have yet to meet a person that genuinely couldn't "do it", usually it is a crisis of confidence or a mental block. I teach web development and with my degree I am quite adept at explaining concepts that can seem quite abstract at first glance. I am also a firm believer in understanding not only how to answer Maths questions, but also understanding why we do it and what use Maths is in everyday life. I appreciate how frustrating of a subject it can be, and I like teaching it and helping people develop confidence in their Maths skills. I am very patient and have worked with a lot of people with a variety of different needs. Given I myself am autistic, I am good at explaining concepts in new and innovative ways, rather than following a textbook example and asking you to complete endless calculations.

Happy to work flexibly around your schedule, including additional lessons in the run-up to exams. I tend to favour 1-hour lessons but if you feel you would benefit from a longer session, I am happy to do so. I like to use examples when explaining concepts and strongly believe in a positive approach to learning. If there are particular areas you want to work on then I will ensure I have resources and lesson plans to reinforce those concepts. Otherwise, I follow curriculum content to ensure your learning is in line with what your tests will be on. The first session is a get-to-know-you lesson, so we will cover some basic concepts, get an idea of what you want to get out of our sessions and come up with a plan that everyone is happy with.
