About Cormac
I believe every student is capable of succeeding with the right guidance and encouragement. My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades but also to develop a genuine understanding of the subject, giving them the confidence to tackle new problems independently.
As a Physics and Astrophysics graduate from Trinity College Dublin and Master of Astrophysics from KU Leuven, I understand both the academic demands of STEM subjects and the challenges students face when learning them.
I pride myself on being patient, reliable, and well-prepared for every lesson. I tailor my teaching to each student's learning style, ensuring that concepts are explained clearly and at a pace that suits them.
Whether you're preparing for important exams, struggling with a particular topic, or aiming for top grades, I'll provide structured, supportive tuition in a friendly and professional environment. My aim is for every student to leave each lesson feeling more confident and better equipped than when they arrived.

Hello there! I'm Cormac, a Physics and Astrophysics graduate from Trinity College Dublin, with a Masters in Astrophysics in KU Leuven with a strong passion for helping students build confidence in maths and physics.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level, or any similar level of qualification such as Scottish Standard assessments or Junior Certificate from the Republic of Ireland. I also welcome younger students who want to build a strong foundation or anyone looking for extra support before exams.
Hands on experience in problem solving is undoubtedly the best way to build confidence and competence for mathematics and physics. I break difficult concepts down into simple, manageable steps, and will work through past paper solutions to make the varied and challenging topics of GCSE and GCE easier to grasp for students.
I believe a relaxed and stress-free environment for students to find their own focus and learning style is important.
Lessons are 60 minutes long minimum, and I am more than happy to extend this time for students that require longer lessons for no extra fee beyond the extra lesson time (ie a 90 minute lesson is £37.50, £30 for the first hour and £12.50 for the extra 30 minutes).
I am experienced with 3 years previous tutoring experience and have tutored students with a wide variety of learning styles, so don't worry if you feel you learn in a different way to others, I will adapt to suit the students' needs.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Trinity College Dublin and a Masters Degree in Astrophysics from KU Leuven in Belgium, Furthermore I obtained A grades in my mathematics and Physics A levels, this is to say, my level of experience in learning these fields has given me a strong understanding in how to help others study them.
