About Faith
My fascination with mathematics began with patterns and problem-solving in numbers, leading me to pursue a B.Sc in Pure Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics. Over 10 years, I have mentored students at various levels, helping them develop analytical thinking, conceptual clarity, and academic confidence.
I emphasise understanding over memorisation, using step-by-step explanations, interactive examples, and practical applications to make complex topics accessible. I encourage students to ask questions, explore ideas independently, and cultivate a genuine interest in the subject.
Beyond tutoring, I engage with mathematical research, problem-solving competitions, and applied projects to bring contemporary examples into lessons. I take pride in helping students achieve their goals while fostering a love for mathematics. Witnessing learners develop confidence, logical thinking, and curiosity is the most rewarding aspect of my teaching journey.

Mathematics is a journey of problem-solving and logical discovery. My lessons focus on making abstract concepts tangible through visual explanations, practical examples, and step-by-step reasoning. Topics covered include algebra, calculus, geometry, probability, and statistics. Each session emphasises conceptual understanding and analytical thinking over rote memorisation, allowing students to grasp why methods work rather than just how to perform them. Lessons integrate real-world applications to make mathematics meaningful and engaging.
I tailor the learning approach to the student’s level. Beginners build foundational skills through simple problems, visualisations, and interactive exercises. Intermediate learners develop stronger reasoning, formula application, and problem-solving strategies. Advanced learners explore higher-level calculus, abstract algebra, and probability models, preparing for competitive exams or academic research. Throughout, I support learners with guided practice, conceptual discussions, and thought-provoking questions that encourage independent thinking.
Mathematics lessons cultivate logical reasoning, focus, and resilience. Students learn to approach problems methodically, think critically, and apply concepts across contexts. My goal is to foster both competence and confidence, enabling learners to not only succeed academically but also appreciate the elegance, utility, and creative potential of mathematics in everyday life.
