About Janine
I am currently a third year Mathematics and Applied Statistics and Economics student. Prior to this, I completed IB (HL subjects: math analysis and approaches, physics, economics) in high school. I have consistently obtained high grades in these subjects throughout high school and into university.
Moreover, I have tutored at a youth centre, where I helped high schoolers with their struggles in mathematics by breaking down the concepts for them. I also frequently helped my classmates when they were stuck. During these times, I developed an intuitive understanding of mathematics, as well as a love for the subject that keeps me going now on my journey as a university student. My goal as a tutor is to help my students gain a deep understanding of concepts, and learn to enjoy mathematics!

The first lesson will be used to gauge the student’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as establish goals for further sessions. Furthermore, subsequent interactive lessons will be aimed at creating a deep understanding of concepts, and linking them to real-world applications wherever possible. Complex topics will be broken down into digestible, step-by-step explanations to ensure clarity and understanding throughout the learning process. In order to benefit the most from each session, students are encouraged to engage actively as much as possible.
