I have a Bachelor's of Science in Neuroscience from Brigham Young University. I received A's in math including in my college calculus classes. in my I have 3 years experience tutoring math to middle school and high school level teens. My students have seen dramatic improvements in grades, usually from grades around 70% to grades around 90%

My teaching method is based on two concepts. The first concept is that the student understand every step to get to the answer. To achieve this, I talk with the student during the problem to assess how they're thinking through it, and guide them to get to the right way. The other concept is practicing math testing strategies, as just knowing how to take tests can save whole percentage points of the overall grade.
