About Alyia
I am happy to work with any student. I find it is important to be patient, calm and polite with everyone. This, like any other space should be a safe environment for both the student and I. The Socratic method which means asking guiding questions are my preferred method of teaching.

I have been tutoring since I started high school and have been teaching math for three years and have experience teaching students of all ages. I am a strong believer of adapting to a student's needs and learning styles. Typically, if a student is having difficulty with a problem, using the Socratic method we work on the question step by step and if there are gaps in their knowledge, I would teach them tricks and tips to learn the material.
As I mentioned earlier I am currently studying mathematics so I definitely comfortable teaching students up until the twelfth grade.
