About Alyssa
I bring over seven years of tutoring experience and a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics to my teaching. I work primarily with IB and A-Level students who want to strengthen their math skills. My approach is built on developing conceptual clarity and encouraging students to see the bigger picture in each topic. I make sure learners are not just memorizing, but truly understanding the ideas behind the formulas. I teach multiple strategies for solving problems so students can choose methods that suit them best. Past paper practice is always included, as it is essential for building exam technique. I specialize in Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics, and I take care to explain these in clear, accessible ways. My lessons are structured but flexible, adapting to each student’s pace. I know that math can be intimidating, so I aim to make it less stressful and more approachable. Students often find themselves growing more confident after consistent practice. I emphasize both accuracy and independent thinking. Each session helps build the foundation for exam success. My goal is to guide you in turning difficulties into opportunities for growth.
