About Sumit

Hello! I am Sumit Godara, a dedicated Mathematics Educator and Subject Matter Expert with a passion for making math logical, accessible, and enjoyable for every student.

Professional Background & Experience
Mathematics Subject Matter Expert: I work professionally as a Math SME, designing and refining curricula tailored to US, UK, and international learning standards. My focus is on breaking down abstract mathematical principles into structured, bite-sized concepts.

Competitive Aptitude & Problem Solving: Having cleared major national-level competitive examinations (including UPSC NDA, CDS, CAPF AC, and SSC CGL), I have mastered speed calculation techniques, mental math shortcuts, and strategic problem-solving methods that I pass on to my students.

My Teaching Philosophy
I believe math anxiety stems from rote learning and memorizing formulas without understanding the underlying logic. My goal as a tutor is to help students overcome their fear of numbers, build mental agility, and develop the confidence to tackle any problem—whether for school exams, IB/ICSE/CBSE assessments, or global Math Olympiads.

I foster an interactive, supportive, and patient learning environment where mistakes are treated as stepping stones to mastery.

I design my classes to transform Mathematics from a memorization-based subject into an intuitive, high-speed, and logical skill. As a Mathematics Subject Matter Expert with experience designing curriculum for US, UK, and Indian standards, my teaching methodology bridges conceptual understanding with mental agility.

What Makes My Methodology Unique?
Fast Mental Calculation Techniques: I incorporate visual math and mental calculation shortcuts to help students calculate up to 4x faster and solve complex problems effortlessly.

Core Conceptual Clarity: Instead of just teaching formulas, I focus on the "why" behind every concept, making problem-solving natural and engaging.

Daily Practice & Worksheets: To reinforce learning and ensure consistent progress, students receive daily structured practice worksheets tailored to their learning level.

Customized Pace: Every student learns differently. Lessons are tailored to build student confidence, whether overcoming math anxiety or aiming for top academic performance.

Class Structure:
Concept Breakdown (15 mins): Deep dive into the core concept using intuitive visual representations and real-world examples.

Guided Problem Solving (20 mins): Step-by-step practice applying core concepts alongside fast calculation techniques.

Interactive Speed & Logic Drills (15 mins): Live problem-solving to sharpen speed, accuracy, and independent thinking.

Q&A & Worksheet Overview (10 mins): Summary, doubt resolution, and assignment of targeted daily practice worksheets.

Who Are These Classes For?
School Students (K–12): IB (PYP/MYP/DP), ICSE/ISC, CBSE, state boards, as well as US (Common Core) and UK national curriculum students.

Olympiad Aspirants: Students preparing for Math Olympiads (IMO, SEAMO, Kangaroo, AMC, etc.) looking to build exceptional speed, advanced problem-solving skills, and numerical reasoning.

Learners Facing Math Anxiety: Students looking to rebuild foundational strength and gain genuine confidence in mathematics.
