About Chris
I'm a third year math student at PSU with a 3.0 GPA, and a strong system for test preparation (I used this system to raise my own SAT by 200 points in high school). I have a love of all areas of math and I'm excited to work with students on anything they may be struggling with. I hope to not only help make students proficient in math, but get them excited about math as well.

I like to assess individual weaknesses in students' abilities and build them into strengths by breaking concepts down to their most basic components, explaining in terms that tie the concept back to ideas that students understand already, and from there it's all about practice practice practice. The "a ha!" moment rarely ever comes during the explanation, it comes while grinding out practice problems, so I consider them to be probably the most important part of the learning process
