About Najee
I am Najee, an experienced 8th grade Special Education teacher who specializes in supporting diverse learners, including students with IEPs, English learners, and those who need extra academic support. I focus on building confidence while strengthening skills in reading, writing, math, and study habits. My tutoring approach focuses on building both academic skills and student confidence in a supportive, structured environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking academic risks.
I use a student-centered teaching style that combines direct instruction, guided practice, collaboration, and positive reinforcement. I break down challenging concepts into smaller, manageable steps and use visual supports, sentence frames, modeling, and real-world examples to help students fully understand the material.
My lessons are designed for upper elementary, middle school, and early high school students, especially those needing support in reading, writing, math, organization, executive functioning, and academic confidence. I am especially experienced working with students in Special Education, English Learners, and students who benefit from additional structure and individualized instruction.
