About Ariel
I was a math tutor for 2 semesters at Milwaukee Area Technical College and received high praise from my supervisors but more importantly from those that I have tutored. Often times students appreciate the way I speak to them and appreciate the way I can make complex ideas more accessible. I do not believe that complicated things need to sound complicated. I have had several students refuse to work with anyone else available (I was a walk-in tutor). If you are still reading this I want you to know that just because you may not know something, or may not understand something immediately, does not make you dumb, and no one should talk to you or treat you like you are. I try to ensure no one I tutor feels this way. Everyone has the capacity to learn and I will speak to you like so.

My goal in tutoring is for students to stop coming to tutoring. I want to help them not only gain a strong enough grasp on the subject, but teach them to use resources to be able to succeed and make progress all on their own. I have excellent patience and am motivated to ensure the student understands what they are doing fundamentally. My goal in life at this point is to become a high school math teacher because I am genuinely passionate about this. I had taken up to and completed differential equations/ linear algebra and calculus based physics 1 in my Associates Degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College. I have always had very high marks in these subjects. A typical lesson will often involve guided descriptions of concepts along side visual aids and some practice problems once the concept is understood to help cement the learning. I will also usually explain how to find more resources on whatever the matter we are discussing is, so the student can continue to seek understanding after tutoring in any areas they might need.
