About Nathan
- I have a BS degree in mathematics and 5+ years experience of teaching math.
- Subjects I have taught include pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus AB & BC, and statistics
- If you plot time spent with me and your grades, there will surely be a positive correlation! (Haha). Jokes aside, many of my students have bettered their grades, but more importantly, also achieved a better understanding of the material which the least I could hope for as an instructor.

- As a math fan, I try my best to inspire my students in math. If not inspire, to at least appreciate. And if not appreciate, to at least be comfortable with it. I know that math isn't for everyone--because of that, I never do the same lesson twice.
- I make it my goal every lesson to be able to empathize with my student. How do you, my student, see the problem? Not how I see it, or even how the book tells you how you're supposed to see it. I think this empathy is key to really helping a student understand math.
- Sometimes class can feel really hard, or move too fast, and that's okay--it's my job to make sure you don't feel left in the dust.

Nathan was my college math 100 tutor for a semester! I passed with an A! Nathan is incredibly patient, and really tries to explain concepts in a variety of simple ways. I used to have a fear of doing math, but Nathan was calm, adaptable, and quick to resolve my struggles. Would absolutely recommend to anyone having difficulties or wanting to excell in math!
I had Nathan as a tutor for my calculus class, and he was incredibly nice, approachable, and helpful! He broke down difficult math theories and problems into easy to consume steps and was thorough in his explanations-- always making sure I was on the same page and understood what was going on before proceeding to the next parts of the problem. I've had a lot of different tutors in the past, and I'd have to say, Nathan has been my favorite tutors so far!
