In a 2 hour session for a topic, I usually cover 15-20 mins of basics all at one go. For certain special cases, I explain the concepts along with the pre-built basics while solving the problem. And I club similar problems together, ranking from lower difficulty to the highest. I also motivate them to solve each question quicker than the previous, reducing the steps to arrive at the final solution.
