About Leah
I have been teaching Mathematics for over seven years, specializing in guiding high school students through the challenges of IB and A-Level exams. With a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics, I bring both academic rigor and practical strategies to every lesson. My approach centers on building conceptual clarity, ensuring students don’t just memorize formulas but truly understand the logic behind them. I encourage diverse problem-solving methods so learners can choose approaches that best suit their thinking style. Past paper practice is an essential part of my sessions, helping students become familiar with exam formats and time management. Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics are my strongest areas, and I enjoy showing students how these topics connect to real-world situations. I believe a strong foundation is the key to long-term success in Mathematics. My students appreciate the patience I bring when explaining complex ideas in simple terms. My teaching approach is centered on making mathematics both clear and enjoyable. I guide students through concepts step by step, always aiming for understanding before memorization. Alongside core areas like Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics, I bring in logic puzzles, game theory, and recreational mathematics to spark curiosity. These playful challenges help students build problem-solving skills in a fun way. I also connect math to everyday scenarios so learners can see its value beyond the classroom. Every lesson is personalized, taking into account individual strengths and challenges. I encourage exploration and let students discover different ways to solve problems. Parents are supported in understanding their child’s learning journey, and I work closely with them to encourage progress. I create a safe space where questions are welcomed and mistakes are celebrated as growth. Learners are also invited to bring their gaming spirit into math, turning challenges into quests. This playful perspective helps them stay motivated. Together, we celebrate curiosity and build a deeper appreciation for mathematics. My role is to support every student in excelling and finding joy in their learning.
