About my lessons:
Who I teach: High school and first-year university students who need help with arithmetic, algebra, trigonometry, and introductory statistics.
How I teach: I break problems into simple, logical steps, explain the “why” behind each step, then guide you through similar questions until you’re confident. I use plain language, visual cues, and lots of worked examples.
Lesson structure:
-Quick check-in on goals and upcoming tests/assignments
-Guided practice on targeted problems (easier to harder)
-Independent try with immediate feedback
2–3 take‑home problems and a summary of key steps
Materials: Custom worksheets, formula sheets, and past exam-style questions. I’m comfortable with your school’s textbook or online platform.
Tools: Whiteboard, shared Google Docs, and screen sharing.
For stats, I can demo solutions in Excel
Pace and support: Patient, encouraging, and structured. I adapt to your pace and learning style, and I’m happy to revisit foundations if needed.
Results: Students typically see clearer understanding within 1–3 sessions and grade improvements after consistent practice.
Availability and format: Online or in Regina (transit-accessible). Evenings and weekends available.
First lesson: We set goals, identify gaps, and build a study plan. If you don’t find value, there’s no obligation to continue.
