About Miryam
My name is Miryam and I am a biomedical science graduate with a strong academic background in math, chemistry, and physics. I have experience supporting students at both the high school and CÉGEP levels, including General Chemistry and Mechanics at Dawson College.
I am naturally detail-oriented, structured, and curious, very much a science nerd. My goal is to make learning feel more approachable and less intimidating, especially for students who feel overwhelmed or unsure of their abilities.
I take a professional and supportive approach to academic work. I am patient, attentive, and adapt to each student’s pace, while maintaining clear expectations and structure. I value consistency, understanding, and progress, and I work with students to help them gain confidence in their skills and develop habits they can rely on long-term.

My approach is centered on supporting students rather than simply teaching content. I help students understand how to approach problems, organize their studying, and gain confidence in their abilities, so they can become more independent over time.
My methodology is concept-based and structured. We focus on breaking down complex ideas into clear steps, identifying gaps in understanding, and building solid problem-solving habits. I also introduce students to effective study tools and show them how to use modern resources, including AI, responsibly to support understanding rather than replace thinking.
A typical lesson includes:
Reviewing key concepts and identifying difficulties

Applying strategies the student can reuse independently
Clarifying how to study and practice effectively between sessions
What sets me apart is my scientific background combined with a strong focus on learning strategies. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, pace, and goals, whether they need support to keep up, strengthen foundations, or prepare more confidently for exams.
