Ali was my Calculus 3 tutor in my second year of an undergraduate science program. I can honestly say that I would not have passed my class without Ali! He is an exceptional tutor; he took the time to ensure that I properly understood concepts before moving on, while maintaining an appropriate pace that was consistent with the pace that my professor was running the class. Ali’s attention to detail and genuine care for his students made me feel supported and helped me gain confidence in my abilities. In addition, Ali always goes the extra mile. He made sure that I correctly grasped concepts by observing me solving problem sets and running through problems together. He is generous with his time and knowledge, the latter being very abundant! Ali has been there for me from early morning to late night sessions, staying patient through it all even if I showed frustration. Lastly, Ali personally walked me to all of my exams or made it a point to connect with me on the day of, giving positive words of encouragement. Ali is truly the best tutor who cares about the success of his students and effectively teaches difficult math concepts. He is funny, thorough, and understanding. Before Ali, my understanding of calculus was little to none, and after just a few sessions I already started to piece together tricky concepts and I kept getting better every session! I couldn’t recommend him enough for university or high school students who are struggling in math—his tutoring is a lifesaver and will make you confident in your skills once again.

I studied MATH 1A03 with Ali when I was preparing for my midterm. I was struggling a lot at the beginning because I had forgotten many high school basics and felt behind.
Ali explained everything very clearly and patiently. He always made sure I understood the meaning of the concepts, not just the formulas. Thanks to his lessons I felt much more confident going into the midterm.
I would definitely recommend him to other McMaster students who need help with calculus.
