About Kitty
I am an experienced Flute teacher with more than 19 years of teaching experience, working with School students, College students, and working professionals. I enjoy helping students learn flute through structured lessons and clear guidance.
My tutoring method focuses on building a strong musical foundation. I train students in breath control, finger technique, tone quality, rhythm accuracy, and musical interpretation. Lessons are planned to suit individual learning needs.
I place great importance on communication and regular practice. I explain concepts clearly and provide demonstrations. Accountability is maintained through progress reviews and honest feedback. Integrity guides my teaching approach.
In addition to flute instruction, I also teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm exercises, and performance preparation. I help students prepare for exams, auditions, and recitals.
My unique skill is motivating students to stay consistent and confident. I create a positive and disciplined learning environment that supports musical growth.

My flute teaching methodology emphasises Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, creating lessons that are personalised, engaging, and effective. I start by understanding each student’s skill level, musical preferences, and learning goals. Through clear communication, I teach essential techniques such as posture, breath control, finger coordination, and musical interpretation in a way that is easy to understand and apply. I encourage questions and interaction to ensure students remain confident and motivated throughout their learning journey.
Creativity is a key element in my teaching. I encourage students to experiment with different musical genres, improvise melodies, and express themselves through performance. This allows them to develop both technical proficiency and artistic identity. Flexibility ensures lessons are adapted to individual needs—whether focusing on challenging techniques, accelerating progress, or exploring new styles, every session is tailored for maximum learning and enjoyment.
Alongside flute instruction, I integrate music theory, rhythm, sight-reading, and ear training to build well-rounded musicianship. My methodology helps students develop technical skill, expressive performance, and self-confidence, while fostering a lifelong love for music and a deep personal connection to their instrument.
