About Aqsa
Hello, future students! My name is Aqsa, your biology teacher "to-be". I'm excited to meet you and share my love of biology with you. Isn't it fascinating how everything in our environment, from a tiny sphere of water to the vast galaxies in space, is somehow connected to some scientific phenomena? That makes me wonder about how living things work and how they interact with each other and their environment. I want to help my students to develop a deep understanding of biology and to appreciate the beauty and complexity of life. I also want to help them to develop the critical thinking skills they need to solve problems and make informed decisions. I believe that all students have the potential to succeed in biology. I'm committed to providing my students with the support and resources they need to reach their full potential. I'm also committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where all students feel safe and respected. I know that it can be a challenging subject, but I'm here to support you every step of the way. - As a student teacher of biology, I plan to employ various teaching techniques to engage students and facilitate effective learning. These include interactive lectures, which introduce main concepts and connect them to students' prior knowledge, and visual aids like diagrams, charts, and videos. I also encourage students to create their own visual aids to aid in understanding complex concepts. Furthermore, I will provide differentiated instruction, catering to the needs of all learners, offering different levels of challenge, extra support, and allowing students to choose their own learning activities. - The typical class structure involves a review of the previous lesson, a clear introduction of new material, practice opportunities through individual or group work, and answering questions. I, then summarize the important concepts covered in the class, ensuring students understand the material and build on their understanding. This approach helps students remember important concepts and skills, fostering a well-rounded learning experience. - As a teacher, I am patient, understanding, passionate about biology, and a good communicator. I believe all students have the potential to succeed in biology and am committed to providing support and resources to help them reach their full potential. My classes are intended for school children till grade 10 studying biology under the CBSE curriculum.
