About Emily
I am a Masters student and through many years of education I understand how difficult specific subjects can be for different people - I struggled with English yet thrived at Maths. Despite how well I did in Maths, my struggle with English constantly weighed me down. Without certain people helping me (friends, tutors, etc.), I would have given up. They helped me with no judgements on my mistakes and an extremely high level of patience. I want to help you as they helped me. I am patient and non-judgemental (no question is silly, I encourage you to ask every and any question you have - it's the best way to learn). I have tutored GCSE students and they've gone from being frustrated at Maths as they were unsure on how to answer questions, to wanting more difficult questions and tasks as their confidence in the subject had increased dramatically.

The typical length of a tutoring session with me is an hour-long.
I tend to structure my lessons so that the first session is to get an idea of what level the student is performing at and identify any strengths/weaknesses. I will structure the lessons depending on the student's learning style, so no two students will experience the same type of lesson (horses for courses). I am flexible so if there are areas that students come to me wanting help with, I am more than happy to change lesson structure last minute if needed.
I have been a tutor since January 2020 - and have had great feedback from my students. As I tend to teach GCSE students, due to safeguarding rules the platform had, I was unable to keep in contact to find out how they got on in their GCSEs which was a shame.
